We often talk about setting intentions during a new moon or manifesting around a full moon. But what about the days after the full moon?
As the moon begins to appear smaller: known as the waning moon phase, it has traditionally been seen in many spiritual practices as a time for letting go, reflection & emotional release.
Think of it as a gentle reminder to ask yourself: What am I still carrying that I don’t need to carry anymore?
Sometimes, letting go is quieter than we think
It doesn’t always mean ending a relationship, leaving a job or making a huge life change.
Sometimes it’s releasing a conversation you keep replaying. An expectation that is exhausting you. A little resentment you’ve been holding onto. Or simply the pressure to have everything figured out.
This is where healing practices can create space for a reset.
Sound healing can help you slow down & shift your attention away from constant mental noise. Meditation gives you space to observe your thoughts without immediately reacting to them. Journaling helps bring feelings to the surface, while energy healing can be used as a spiritual practice for grounding, reflection & reconnection.
Find ten quiet minutes for yourself. Put your phone away, sit comfortably & take a few slow breaths.
Ask yourself:
What feels heavier than it needs to?
What am I ready to make less room for?
What would I like to create space for instead?
Write down whatever comes up. You can then sit with a short meditation or gentle sound healing practice & allow yourself to simply be.
You don’t have to force yourself to “let go.”
Sometimes healing begins with one small realisation:
I don’t want to carry this in the same way anymore.
And perhaps that’s the real beauty of the waning moon — a reminder that making space can be just as powerful as adding something new.
